The 1588 document is in vol. 21. This Congregatio was concerned with the Molinist controversy over freedom of the will. The series contains various writings from both the Catholic and non-Catholic viewpoints on grace and free will, primarily from the pontificates of Clement VIII (1592-1605) and Paul V (1605-1621). The title page of volume 1 (a presentation copy) reads: "Acta Sacrae Congregationis a Clemente Papa VIII instituta super controversia de viribus liberi arbitrii in statu naturae lapsae et de auxiliis gratiae divinae circa doctrinam P. Ludovici Molina et Societ. Iesu. opera et studio P. Gregorii Nunnii Coronel Lusitani ordinis Eremit. S. Augustini qui suit unus et duobus eiusdem Congregationis secretariis descripta cum originalibus collata et in VI. Tomos redacta. Joanni Baptistae Confalerio Custodi Archivi Arcis S. Angeli. Iussu.
